With Fall settling in, many seasonal tasks will have to be done soon. Here are our tips on how to avoid injuries when raking leaves.
1 – Plan the task and do it when the leaves are dry. They will be much lighter and easier to pick up.
2 – Avoid movements far away from your body. Opt for short strokes and move your legs rather than stretch your shoulders and back out to the front.
3 – Divide the task in multiple short periods of works instead of a single long one.
4 – Make sure you stretch your shoulder and back muscles after every period of physical activity, including yard works.
