Massage therapy and chiropractic to the rescue of bad postures at the office!

Published by : | September 5 2019

Today, office work accounts for the majority of jobs. We spend hours sitting in front of a computer. It is very important to adopt a good posture to avoid tension, stress and pain.

Here are some things to watch for:

  • Make sure the top of the screen is in front of you, at eye height.
  • The shoulders should be well relaxed.
  • Elbows at keyboard height, at a 90-degree angle.
  • Keep the mouse as close to you as possible.
  • Thighs should be parallel to the floor.
  • Your feet should lie flat on the ground. Use a footrest as needed

In massage therapy, we can intervene to reduce the pain caused by poor posture by promoting muscle relaxation. The massage will significantly reduce tensions and spasms which will give the muscles and joints back their range of motion and their suppleness.

Chiropractic ensures proper diagnosis of the problem with a complete initial examination and radiographs if necessary. Treatments consists of restoring movement to restricted joints and reducing inflammation of the nervous system. Massage and chiropractic are a great combination to help restore the  functions of the body that have been lost with bad postures.

Keep in mind that good posture is the first step towards better health!
